Matthew A. Eagleston

Matt co-founded the first Fairway Resources company in June 2005 and was President and Chief Executive Officer of Fairway I and Fairway II. He is President and Chief Executive Officer of Fairway III and serves on its Board of Managers. Matt has the ultimate responsibility for all technical and operational activities.

Prior to forming the first Fairway Resources company, Matt was President of The Wiser Oil Company, a public independent in Dallas, Texas. He joined Wiser in 1995 and was initially responsible for engineering and field operations in the New Mexico portion of the Permian Basin. While in that position, Matt directed an extensive development program, drilling 175 wells, performing 150 workovers and building or enhancing surface facilities for three large waterflood units. He was promoted to Vice President of Production in 2001 and President in 2004. As President, Matt was instrumental in the marketing process that resulted in the sale of the company to Forest Oil in 2004. Prior to joining Wiser, he had 13 years of experience in various engineering and production capacities, including stints with Snyder Oil Corporation, Fina Oil and Chemical, Natural Resources Management and Petro-Lewis Corporation. Matt earned his BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering at his church, golf and traveling to visit his family. Matt and his wife live in Keller.

Charles R. Tompkins

Rick started working with the Fairway Resources team in June 2015 to assist in the formation of Fairway III. He is now Senior Vice President – Acquisitions & Development for Fairway III and has responsibility for all operational functions, including field and drilling operations.

Rick has over 30 years of industry experience, including senior leadership positions at large, multinational integrated oil and gas and oilfield services companies.  He started his career with Dresser Industries, which was acquired by Halliburton International in 1999, holding several senior level positions both domestically and internationally.  Rick’s career with Haliburton culminated in his being named Regional Vice President for Eurasia based in Moscow.  He subsequently left to become the Corporate Business Director for JSC TNK-BP Management, the joint venture between TNK and BP based in Russia.  After his stint with TNK-BP, Rick returned to Houston to become the General Manager of Operations for EF Energy, LLC, a private-equity backed company focused on the Eagle Ford Shale play.  After the sale of EF’s properties, he served as a consultant to Seadrill Management, Ltd. in Moscow, where he led due diligence efforts on two major acquisitions.  Rick earned his BS in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.  In his spare time, he enjoys barbecuing for his family.  Rick and his wife live in Hickory Creek.

M. Brayden Hudson

Brayden started working with the Fairway Resources team in April 2016 as our Controller to assist in the formation of Fairway III and was recently promoted to his position of Vice President, Finance and Accounting. He has worked for over six years in the industry, holding various accounting and internal audit roles. Brayden earned his BS in Marketing from Ball State University and an MBA and MPA from The University of Texas at Arlington. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Council of Petroleum Accountants Society and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Brayden enjoys spending time with his family and coaching youth baseball. He lives in Fort Worth with his wife and three children.

Sharon K. Petry

Sharon joined Fairway III in April 2018 as a Gas Balancing and Revenue Accountant.  She started her oil and gas career over 25 years ago at H. J. Gruy & Associates as an engineering technician.  Sharon then held various positions with Redstone Oil & Gas, Anadarko Petroleum and Continental Exploration, where she became proficient in gas marketing, tracking gas imbalances, regulatory filings and revenue accounting.  Sharon earned her BS in Psychology from Texas A&M University in College Station.  She enjoys reading, music, road trips and spending time with family and friends.  Sharon lives in Farmers Branch.
